Makeup, by virtue of its colours, shapes and textures, sometimes reminds me of confectionery. The talented pâtissiers featured here have managed to capture the detailing and hues that make their sweet delights look almost like the real thing.
Created by Cupcakes Nouveau, the Chanel cupcakes above are extremely well made. The bristles and ferrules of the brushes look precise, as does the form of the lipstick.
Also based on Chanel cosmetics, these cupcakes were made by Lil’ Miss Cupcake. I like the pretty eyeshadow quads and how she positioned the lipgloss wands.
She also created these Barbie Loves MAC cupcakes.
These cupcakes by Dots Treats were baked for a Sue Devitt event at a Sephora store. I wonder how she created the lipstick kiss effect.
She made these NARS ones too.
These Prescriptives cupcakes by Hey There, Cupcake! impressed me. I am particularly taken with the lipstick; I like its shade and how genuine the casing looks. The striped blush(?) compact grabbed my attention too.
And then we have moulded chocolate perched on iced cupcakes. These sugary lovelies by Montreal Confections and Simply Sweets look so girly and adorable!
