- Ta-Ta!—Opaque, soft grey crème. A twee British expression used to bid farewell.
I’ve worn Broody for more than a week and love the depth of this raspberry crème, as well as the quick shine it offers with just two coats, as seen in the photo above.
It doesn’t have an ultra-laminated appearance on my nails probably because of my nail ridges but it becomes glossier and is more opaque with three coats (see the first photo in this post). I did not use a topcoat in both photos but you can imagine how much shinier the effect would be, with one.
I particularly like the self-levelling quality of this pigmented polish and how it smooths out my nail ridges, making them look more even. It doesn’t fade easily and keeps its richness and shine over the days, thanks to its shock-resistant polymer technology. It does chip gently as time passes but that’s par for course with the many varnishes I use (aka chore bane!).
And speaking of broody…
Expectant ladies: You will be glad to know that this is a 7-free formula; an excellent choice if you want to polish your nails during pregnancy. ;)
In Singapore, this nail lacquer retails at S$24 at Sephora stores island-wide.

Hey Mag,
One of the best tip my mum ever told me is- Never ever try to use the nails as a tool, like opening a can or rubbing of stubborn stains when doing the dishes! We often damaged our nails this way when doing the housework!
My nails are flimsy as I need to bathe for my kids, hence, always break! I always envy ladies with beautiful nails. Hope this polish pair can give my weak nails a lift into a beautiful set of nails.
I would like to take part in this Butter London nail polishes. With this new formula, I can pass 1 of the shade for my expecting cousin who is a fan of Butter London polishes!
The happiest girls always have the prettiest nails.
Thanks for sharing and hosting the giveaway! It’s great to know that this polish is suitable for pregnant ladies as I would definitely find it tough to stay away from manicures during the 9 months!
Would really like to try Butter London’s nail polish for it’s gel cushion and ability to smooth nails as I am currently having ridges in my finger nails and it’s extremely hard to apply nail polish evenly. Thanks for the giveaway!
Nails are made of keratin, which hair is also made of!
I always have brittle nails and make me not dare to apply any polish. I would like to find the nail polish which can strengthen my nails and prevents breakage. I strongly believe Butter London able to meet my requirements.
I love butter london polishes especially their British inspired names and packaging. I am wearing Shag (bought from Sephora sg) right now and it’s perfect shade for Autumn! Love the silver caps and new formula! Hoping for a chance to try them! ;)
I’m in love with nail art and nail polish, and to me, make-up and nail art are ways to express my creativity and ideas. Nail colour is a statement! It changes your mood.
I love painting my nails!
So looking forward to trying out butter London!
I prefer to trim my finger nails before applying nail polish to make sure my nail arts stay in good shape as long as possible else long nails may crack or cave in anytime and jeopardize my polished nails.
I love nail polish and this new Butter London patent shine 10x will definitely have a place in my polish stash!
This will be perfect for moms on-the-go like me since it’s long-wearing and chip-resistant, and the shine lasts longer than normal polishes! A must-have!
Well i love nail art and i would love to try out butter london, maybe i can make new design out of them.
Nail polish is the attire of your nails, the better you are dress, the more you will get noticed. So choose your nail’s attire wisely.
The Butter London looks a promising rangr of attire for my nails.
Fancy and Bloody are my shades, in luv of them.
I’ve found that dipping freshly painted nails in a bath of ice water for a few minutes helps them dry faster!
I would love to try Butter London! Apparently you’re not supposed to trim your cuticles.. Just soften them with cuticle oil and push them back before painting your nails! Helps prevent infections :) hope this tip helps everyone!
sharing a secret related to nails ! Shh ! Actually when I’m feeling down , the first thing that comes to my mind isn’t chocolates or musics . It is anything to do with nails . Be it nail polish swatches or the nail arts pictures being posted on Instagram . They are not just an inspiration but also a soothing sort of therapy for me to look at them and unknowingly smile and feel great in an instant . Well I’m sure someone in this universe share the same thoughts as me , so how awesome will it be if I could win the set of polish and let me take the chance to do some creations with it and share it so hopefully I can be the one bringing the joy to the great minds that think alike :)
It is essential to take extra care of your nails when nail polish is used on a daily basis. To avoid brittle nails; eating healthy, taking care of cuticles and trimming nails help nails to grow strong :)
Omg this sounds so AMAZEBALLLLLS! This would be great for when one travels to a cold country cause the last time I went to Korea during winter, I painted my nails on my own (and I used brands from like The Face Shop and OPI) and they cracked on the 3rd day T_T I’m thinking it’s due to the cold weather.
I have weak nails that tends to chup/Peel easily so my nails are not uniformally flat! Really hope I can win to try out the formula cause u made it sound incredible!!!
” A woman is helpless only when she is waiting for her hail polish to dry! ” Pretty nails make me type on my keyboard with joy!
Hope to win these nail polish in yummy pretty colors!
I would love to try out the new butter london patent shine as it has a great balance between glossy and not too over the top shiny veneer. Thanks for organizing the giveaway! :)
Would love to win this duo! I’ve never tried butter polishes before, and it looks amazing!
I like to moisturise my nails alternate day and sephora brand had 1 good one with sponge in the middle!! Cool 16 bucks only !!
Which hand do you use? Right, then you must know this. Nails of the hand which you use most grows faster than the nails of the other hand.
Nails are one of our best beauty accessories. Nail polish is one of our favorite things about beauty — it brings a hint of color to our otherwise boring, bare nails and can be changed up at a moment’s notice depending on how we feel or what we’re wearing.
I love painting my nails with different colors and make some simple designs. I loving putting glitter polish on top of my nail colors to give a sparkle effect :)
I have been a big fan of Butter London ever since I got to try the colour – Jaffe, watthe recommendation of my manicurist, and i was not disappointed. In fact, I love the colour so much that I bought it on the spot. And have since repurchased twice. Would love to try the Butter London Patent Shine 10X in Jolly good. Thank you, Makeup Stash, for organizing this contest!
nail cuticle oil is a must for me everyday as my cuticles are rather dry.
Never try this brand before! Sounds good & love the colors too!
Such a pretty pair :) love the giveaway. My favourite manicure item is my nail buffer. Keeps all the ridges away and nail polish applies as smooth as silk.
Loving this new formulation from Butter London! The colours are really pretty!
I’m learning to do nail art, and a bobby pin now has infinite uses! :D
I love looking at painted nails but I hardly have the chance to as I work with children. Working with children means art and craft, bath time and loads of cleaning! My polishes would always chip off after a while and thus isn’t worth the hassle of painting them. However this Butter London nail polish sounds really good! Chip resistant? Sounds really wonderful! Thank you for the giveaway Mag!
Hey Mag! Thanks for the makeup reviews, i really enjoyed reading about it. i learn smth new all the time. so i want to share smth with you this time. My nail cuticles are always getting damaged so a method i always use is soak my fingers in warm water for 5minutes and then push back the cuticles using an orange stick. Mix 3 tbsp of lotion and 1 tbsp of olive oil and heat it up for 30sections. Apply on your cuticles and cover your fingers with some form of glove and leave it overnight! it works quite well for me, hope this is informative for u!
I like to bite my nails. But painting my nails with all these pretty nail polish, i stopped my bad habits!
Recently I am using Deborah Lippman nail color, the glitter is really amazing! Love the shining color.
I am also looking forward to Butter London nail color. The color looks so pure and bright. Really like “Joly Good” this one.
I am bad at art lessons but i enjoy painting my nails :)
