I’ve been using the Sweet Almond Oil Nail Varnish Remover from The Body Shop a lot lately.
I like its fast-acting performance, plus I don’t need a lot to take off tenacious polish. Not only does it remove nail lacquer quickly and cleanly, its acetone-free formula is gentler on my nails: In contrast to several polish removers that are harsh and drying, its rich oil blend with an emollient texture visibly moisturises my nails and softens my cuticles.
Oh and a bonus – it actually smells somewhat pleasant.
According to the brand, this remover is infused with sweet almond, soya oil and Community Fair Trade sugarcane essence.
My only complaint is that it could use a pump-top cap or a stopper dispenser on its open mouth to prevent spillage.
In Singapore, it retails at S$12.90 for 100 ml. It might seem quite dear, compared to the likes of Sally Hansen, yet its efficacy is worth the price – I’m certain I’ll be replenishing it when I’ve finished my current bottle. :)
