Arriving in Singapore in March 2014, these sturdy multi-purpose sticks will finally come in a matte formula.
They are named after exotic locales, as with many pieces in the current Nars The Multiple range. From left to right, they are: Anguilla, Laos, Exumas, Siam, Cappadoce, Vientiane, Altai.
I loved their pillowy softness at first swipe; the velvet-matte texture feels silky-smooth on the skin. They build up more creamily with added layers but are pretty pigmented with a single swipe.
With this new matte finish, we will have yet another quick product for contouring. The convenient stick form of the bronze/brown ones will help you to swiftly achieve a defined jawline, as well as bring out your cheekbones. (Use them sparingly, of course.)
The blush hues are particularly pleasing – they offer a natural-looking flush when blended out. I like how the finish is forgiving on older skin which has a tendency to catch shimmer with facial lines. The current sparklier sticks aren’t ideal on mature skin because of this but the new ones would be perfect!
I don’t have many details on them yet but here’s what I know:
- They will launch in March 2014, together with the NARSissist Eye Palette, a 15-shade eyeshadow palette that celebrates the brand’s 20th anniversary.
- They will probably retail at S$60, the current price of a Multiple here.
- I believe they will be permanent – and a happy addition – to the range. :)
I already have my heart set on a couple and am looking forward to picking up at least one when they arrive! ♥
I have yet to try a multiple because I was afraid they would be too creamy and shimmery on my oily skin. I like the swatches you have made, I will definitely check these out. Laos and Exumas look like they might be right up my alley. Which colours interested you? I can’t wait to see the 15 shade palette myself, they look awesome.
Thank you for the swatches.
Siam looks absolutely amazing! I hope the formula is better than the rgular multiples that are a bit too drying on my lips.
BEAUTIFUL! I’ve been waiting for these. For contouring especially!
What do you think most resembles NARS Laguna among the browns? :)
Thanks!
I’m not sure, Shari but I think you can find comparison swatches online. :) I only had a brief look at them.
