Dressed in illustrations created by Korean pop artist Mari Kim, whose artwork also appeared in a 2NE1 music video, these lip tints are eye-catching makeup pieces.
The quirky graphics aside, they are excellent products too – colour me impressed with their textures and staying power! ♥
The greyed-green hue of Peri’s Tint Crayon in 3 Fruity Mint might look off-putting but this jumbo lip crayon is really a soft purple-berry when swatched. On the lips, it is a sweet cool-toned pink that intensifies over time to something that is semi-sheer with some depth of colour. I reckon the formula is activated by heat which deepens the shade.
The balmy texture is comfy (it contains sweet almond oil and jojoba oil), while the gentle hue imparts a healthy kiss of colour. This fatty lip pencil is good on its own but will also work beautifully as a base for similar tones, thanks to its lasting prowess.
Peri’s Tint Marker in 2 Orange Stain is a deep coral-orange that can be as saturated on the lips as what you see on the marker tip. The nib really makes me feel as though I’m playing with my children’s chubby marker pens; it even has the same cooling alcohol-evaporation sensation. However, it isn’t watery – in fact, the pigment builds up beautifully and doesn’t leave my lips feeling parched. Formulated with Vitamin E, peach and orange water, it isn’t creamy or glossy but it does have a lovely dewy shine.
Designed to be waterproof, it lasts and lasts and lasts – it doesn’t come off with any cleanser and takes more than half a day to wear off. This indelible lip pen will certainly stain your lips for a very long time, which may or may not be a good thing, depending on your preference.
In Singapore, they both retail at S$14.90 and are exclusively available at Watsons.
These look very cute Mag especially the Tint Marker. That orange shade is pretty.
