Containing passion-fruit and lime extracts, this facial scrub from the Make Up Store has a sweet and refreshing citrus scent.
My son loves the smell – his face lit up when he took his first sniff of it…and he reached for the cap to take in a longer whiff while I was using the tube. :)
This is made in Thailand, which seems to be the source of quite a few skincare products these days. (Za and Olay are two brands that have skincare manufactured in this country.)
According to the brand, it is enriched with shea butter and goat milk, as well as Vitamins A, C, D and E. Although it is described to have a peeling action, it is actually a non-foaming scrub with a creamy formula.
Suitable for all skin types, the brand recommends that this cleanser be used 1-2 days a week. Despite that, I’d say it is rather gentle both during and after washing: The crème feels soft and smooth on the skin, as do the exfoliating particles, and there’s no uncomfortable tightness or dryness. In fact, my face feels pretty velvety after using it.
The scrub seems to contain citrus peel for exfoliation. The bits aren’t abrasive and have a nice rounded sensation on the skin, though they don’t look even. I could do with a little more friction but they do a good job of removing facial impurities – I wondered about the efficacy of the product because of its seemingly-mild action but when I did the nose extraction test, I couldn’t see any waxy worms/solidified sebum. A huge plus! :)
In Singapore, it retails at S$39 for 150 ml and can be found at Make Up Store boutiques located at 313@Somerset, Paragon, Raffles City and VivoCity.
