Here’s Storm Bird, a modern blue-grey crème nail lacquer from the Nars Fall 2012 collection.
It’s not here in Singapore yet but I was given a sneak peek of this edgy nail hue when I previewed the Shiseido Lacquer Rouge range at the brand’s office. (Yes, Nars is under Shiseido.)
Fast-fingered Sophia, who was also there, painted it on her nails and mine in less than five minutes…making nary a mistake. I dub her the Mistress of Manicures! Do check out her plethora of nail looks on her Instagram feed.
Though we both had another colour under Storm Bird, it was pretty clear that the varnish can be a one-coater as our existing polish did not peek through the grey. Above is a photo of our nails with Storm Bird. The shade has a thistle tinge to it under certain lighting, the purple hints obvious in low light.
If you enjoy creamy dark greys with an easy opaque finish, do look out for Storm Bird when it launches in November this year at the revamped Tangs beauty hall.
