Here’s Layla Hologram Effect Nail Polish in Flash Black layered over Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquer in Don’t Tell Your Mama.
The Deborah Lippmann polish is a smoky teal whose blue-green shimmer can only be discerned up close. On its own, it looks mostly black. It’s a pigmented lacquer – there’s only one coat in the pic above – and I really like its shine.
The highlight of this look is the holographic Layla, whose multi-coloured shimmer infused in a grey base reminds me of OPI My Private Jet. It’s more intense and reflective than the latter, the crushed-rainbow medley glimmering fabulously in bright light. Otherwise, it looks like a lush suede polish…still nice but it really comes to life when there’s strong lighting; the holo-effect much more evident.
I love greys and I love multi-coloured shimmer, so this is perfect for me! Special thanks to Evonne for helping me to custom purchase the Layla. :)
I love all these holographic nails coming out atm but have yet to get my hands on them, this one is right up my street though!
Alice
Hi there, Alice!
I love this one; it’s subtle but it shines beautifully under the light. :)
My pleasureeeeee! : D
:) E! Always with the great nail polish recs. Thanks for sharing.
Ooh pretty! I’ve just bought some glittery nail polish to try the layering effect.
Hey Sam,
Please post about them on your blog! :) Which ones did you get?
