For their Christmas collection this year, Shu Uemura promises something exciting for fashion and beauty fans alike – a collaboration with legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.

This collection is the result of the long-standing relationship between these two artistic greats revered for their relentless pursuit of innovation and beauty. Being luminaries – and visionaries – of their craft, this collaboration is an apt marriage of their creative realms.
It’s a pity that Mr Uemura did not live to see the tangible outcome of this partnership but his legacy will certainly live on through his friend and professional peer.
Interestingly, the fashion doyen has been using Shu Uemura eyeshadows to illustrate his fashion sketches for the past two decades.

I spot some beloved favourites in these photos taken more than five years ago; I miss the jewel-toned metallic Shu shadows of old.
According to the brand, the color selection and packaging are entirely designed by Karl Lagerfeld who also photographed the visual campaign.
In Singapore, we can expect to lay eyes on the fruits of this unique collaboration in November. I’m quite eager to see how the aesthetics of the two will converge…just no silhouettes, please!
