Dressed in colourful butterfly and floral prints, the Mamechiyo for Shu Uemura collection is now out at the brand’s flagship store at Ion Orchard, as well as Takashimaya.
A collaboration with contemporary kimono artist Mamechiyo, the intricate designs exemplify the Shu Uemura ‘Art in Beauty’ sensibility, while marrying the traditional with the modern.
The current variations of the brand’s popular Cleansing Oil and UV Under Base Mousse are prettily decorated with four floral themes: Fuji (willowy wisteria), Sakura (cherry blossom), Botan (peony) and Ume (Japanese plum blossom).
Accompanying this limited edition collection is a refillable Glowing-Fit Lasting Compact powder foundation case – also limited edition – emblazoned with a delightful explosion of colours.
As with last year’s sakura-themed Mika Ninagawa collection, the beautiful packaging is a visual poem to spring. ❀

They are very pretty designs. I think I annoyed the SA when I said that I’d still end up putting the empty bottle in the recycling bin! ;)
Haha Sam!
You can re-use the cleansing oil bottles, though. Iris of Rouge Deluxe does that with her special print bottles. :)
So bright and beautiful…this is like colour therapy each time you look at it!
Hello Camemberu,

Hi Vix,
It’s not a bad thing. ;) In the eyes of the babe, mummy is always beautiful! :D
Oops…never thought of reusing the bottles. Can’t even blame that one on jetlag!
You made me laugh, Sam! Now you can consider buying one. ;)
