With its medley of neutral colours,
This palette is stirring up the makeup universe!
As varied and pigmented as the original,
It is perfect for any beauty arsenal.
In a glossy taupe metal compact the eyeshadows rest,
A notch above its predecessor’s velvet best.
Over the hues makeup brushes will hover,
The colours will enthrall any neutral lover.

The textures are matte, velvet and shimmer;
Satin too and even a little glitter.
With a mint-scented rosy nude gloss and a dual-ended brush,
This palette its competitors does crush!
Made in the US, Naked 2 wanted to see the world,
So I took the palette and my little girl…
On a little trip to the Singapore River,
Where the Merlion guards the calm water.
The very opposite of ‘urban decay’,
So bright and cheery was that day –
Here I am with palette and baby,
Making a happy UD memory!
Special thanks to Kas for the gorgeous shot;
A beautiful backdrop it is, though the day was hot! ;)

Hey PB,
Thank you! I like how baby’s head is peeking out. :D
I especially love Pistol and Busted. Definitely cool-toned. ;)
Hi Jyoan,
It’s a worthy lemming. I don’t agree that if you have the original, you don’t need this – you do! :D
Hello Iris,
Thanks!
I love the colours in the pics too; so vibrant. :) All thanks to Kas for the artful framing. ;)
Hi Jamilla,
The sunshine was wonderful for photography that day. :)
Hi Cynthia,
Aww, sorry I missed you! Baby was getting heavy in the sling and I wanted to get home quickly. It was crowded at the store, wasn’t it? I was quite surprised as it was a Tuesday night. Was glad I found a Nestle Christmas box with Jelly Tots in it – only S$6.50 and the second last box on the shelf! Hope to see you soon at the supermarket, hehe! :D
Hallo Kas,
Biggy thankies to you! :D
And Kas, I will always remember the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Chocolate Peppermint treat we had there! :D
oh wow! i have been waiting for you to review the palette! it looks superb! now i cant wait for it to launch in SG!
Hi JY,
I’m particularly fond of the cooler tones. ;) Hope you find it when it arrives. :)
Beautifully done and it’s so great to see you and the baby in this post.
Thank you, Marcia!
I loved your profile pic in the Temptalia post. :)
this is by the far the best poem i have ever read about make up. In fact, it’s the first one! Love your entry as usual. :0

Jenny
Hi Jenny,
Thank you! I enjoyed writing it. :)
Hey Mag,
could you do a comparison post of Naked & Naked 2 palettes?
Which would be a “better” buy for me? I’m very fair (MAC NC-15) and my complexion is more pink-neutral than yellow. Thanks!!!
Hi Seishouai,
They might seem similar at first glance but there are definite differences. To my eye, Naked 2 is slightly cooler in tone – I’d recommend this one. :)
Tried to get it from UD.com they do not accept international cc. Oh well.
Aww Chev :( I think you have to use a third-party purchasing service.
If you could only have 1 naked palette, which would it be??
Tough choice, Alicia!
If I really had to choose, though, I’d pick Naked 2 because of the tin packaging and the lovely cool gunmetal and deep brown in it. ;)
Thanks Mag! I don’t own Naked palette so i don’t know which one to get…
Hi Seishouai,
I hope you managed to snag a piece! ;)
Hi Mag, nope i didn’t manage to get my hands on Naked 2 cos i was at work last Sat…and naturally, all the palettes are now OOS. :(
Guess i just have to wait a wee bit longer for restocks.
Have a great weekend ahead!
Hey there Seishouai,
It will be a permanent item like Naked, I’m sure, so you should have no trouble finding it eventually. Happy weekend to you too! :)
Hi,
Do you think nake decay 2 suits for puffy eyes? i hv difficulty in buying eye shadow. puffy eye lids. im NC20
Hi Charmaine,
It depends on how you apply the colours. Smokey shades are good on puffy eyes, especially concentrated near the lash line. Some deep shades in Naked 2 are lovely for this. Otherwise, you can opt for the UD Smokey palette. Have fun exploring!
