Skin79 recently sent me a cute little tool box; inside it was this cleansing foam (S$15 at Watsons) from its latest Homme range for men. (No, they didn’t send the hammer; it’s actually from my son’s tool kit!)
My hubby has been using it for the past few weeks and seems to like it. According to him, it foams up and washes off cleanly, with no tightness post-wash. I touched his face a couple of times after he’d washed it and sure enough, his skin felt soft and smooth. His face also seems clearer to me – perhaps the mild exfoliating agents in the foam do work after all.
He likes the refreshing mint sensation and expressed appreciation of the fact that the wash isn’t overtly minty (i.e. stinging). He also told me that the wash carries a faint – not unpleasant – papaya scent. According to the brand, this facial foam contains papaya and ivy extracts to soothe the skin and eliminate excess sebum.
He’s a soap-and-water kind of guy, so this feedback from him is quite a mouthful! I reckon that he’ll probably purchase a tube on his own once this is used up. ;) There’s a BB cream in this range but pigs will fly and sausage-roll before I can persuade him to wear makeup. :P
This facial wash apparently also acts as a gentle shaving cream that reduces irritation and allows for a more comfortable shave. My hubs didn’t try it for this purpose, though.
