How pretty is this lip salve from Ettusais? In line with the charming character of the brand, Ettusais has collaborated with Sanrio to produce this lovely packaging for their best-selling Lip Essence (S$31/10 g).
The limited edition tube adorned with Kiki and Lala retails at the same price as the regular Lip Essence.
The handy little squeeze tube has a slanted tip for easy application.
The balm is slightly sticky but not tacky. I like the subtle shine it imparts; a velvety shine versus a glossy one like that of The Body Shop Lip Roll-On. It is fragrance-free too, which is great.
According to the brand, it also promotes blood circulation, making lips pink and healthy-looking. I’m inclined to believe the latter, despite its somewhat dubious claim – my lips seem pinker and more even-toned, certainly, post-application. I haven’t pinned down the ingredient that does this, though.
Besides moisturising the lips, this lip balm also protects the lips with SPF 18 PA++.
The Ettusais cuteness continues with a 2012 schedule book/diary, a gift-with-purchase when customers spend S$40 or more.
The diary features the famous Ettusais rubber duckie (but of course) and the whimsical graphics on the pages all centre on the animal. In each month’s pages, the duck is in various get-ups corresponding to a significant event or holiday. The diary is very well made and its design is similar to that of Japanese schedule books available at stationery stores.
I’m particularly fond of the sheet of customised duckie stickers at the back of the book. Adorable!
