When I first saw this product at the Holika Holika store, I had high hopes for it.
I was taken by the pretty baby pink hue, thinking it’d make a great cheek colour over which to layer my powder blushes.
However, thanks to its tacky and glossy texture, it doesn’t blend evenly and won’t dry down – I can still feel stickiness on my cheeks even after blotting them. At S$15, it isn’t too expensive but in the end, it’s a S$15 lipgloss instead of also being a cream cheek product. If you’re hoping for the latter, you’re better off with Canmake Cream Cheek in 09 Pinky Rose which certainly has a smoother texture and finish.
That said, it makes a nice lipgloss for toning down stronger colours and cooling warmer ones, plus its opacity and tone make it suitable for a mod lip look. ;)
Hi Mag! :-) This product reminds me of Dior Pro Cheeks in Limelight 815! It’s supposed to be a highlighter but I find it ok only. Nowadays, I mix it with Canmake cream blush in 07 to tone down the Canmake! :-)
Hi Milktea,
I’ve not seen that Dior blush but it’s a great idea to mix it with something stronger to create a workable look. :)
