Makeup Memories | Maybelline Water Shine Diamonds Lipstick in Jewel Berry

Made in Japan, this Maybelline lipstick from years back surpassed many high-end ones that were produced during its time, thanks to its smooth quality and refined texture.

I can’t remember when it was introduced but I do remember being pleasantly surprised when I learnt that it was made in Japan. I was later able to try another lipstick from the same range but made in the US – it was gritty and didn’t wear well. Proof once more of Japanese superiority in makeup production!

I’ve fond memories of Jewel Berry – I loved its flattering purply-pink tone and copious shimmer. It’s since gone to makeup heaven but it’s nice to have this post to remind me of its prettiness and the happy makeup times it’d given me. :)

I remember this! It was my first lipstick, which i had to get for a performance back in…2001? I think it was introduced around then! I tossed mine out years ago, but yes, i agree that this was the best lipstick at that time :)

I’ve got this too, in ‘Slightly Red.’ One of the first lipsticks I’ve ever owned. For reasons unknown I’ve been keeping it in my stash lol *Toss in dustbin*
