This coming February, MAC will introduce a new moisturiser to the existing Lightful skincare range which includes the Foaming Crème Cleanser, Active Softening Lotion, Charged Essence and Deep Ultramoisture Crème. Developed in Asia, the popular Lightful range incorporates MAC’s exclusive triple brightening action and mineral-charged water technology to make skin radiant and lustrous.
Described as ‘a deliciously decadent moisturizer that instantly delivers luminous, even-toned skin’, MAC Lightfully Bright Hydro-Charged SPF 30/PA++ Moisturizer can be used on its own or mixed with foundation for added lustre.
Below are the four new luminescent ‘limited-life’ Lipglass shades to complement the Lightfully Bright collection:
Astro Cool: Light lavender with pink shimmer
Atmospheric: Baby pink with pink and blue shimmer
Ethereal: Pale blue with pink shimmer
Outer Space: Snowy white with subtle pink shimmer
Each Lipglass will probably retail at S$28. This is the first time MAC has ever produced cosmetic items to complement one of their skincare lines.
Astro Cool reminds me a little of MAC Lipglass in Utterly Discrete and also the now-discontinued MAC Lipglass in Nico (sans the glitter), both of which I love. Iris actually reminded me of Nico and we had a nice time walking down makeup memory lane as we dredged up past experiences with discontinued but beloved MAC glosses! ;) I love greyed lavender shades, so I’m really looking forward to seeing this in person.
Atmospheric is reminiscent of MAC Lustreglass in Palatial (the latter has a green sheen, though) and while I was initially drawn to Ethereal, I realised that MAC Lipglass in Best of Breed, which I’d purchased at the MAC Fabulous Felines event, has more grey in it. Outer Space reminds me of the many frosty/white glosses MAC has put out over the years, so it doesn’t interest me much. I do wish MAC would put out a pure grey shade – they’ve done a pure black one, after all – that would truly make my day!

Very interesting! The lightful collection has always intrigued me with all the Asia-exclusive air of shiny, astral blue-green packaging, lol…the ethereal lipglass actually reminded me of Benefit’s California Kissing :D
Hi TUG,
You’re right. UD does (did?) a pretty blue gloss too!
