I spent this weekend preparing gifts for my mummy and my mother-in-law. :)
For my mother, I put together some beauty items in the CanCam x Marc by Marc Jacobs mini tote.
In it are:
- Sana Pore Putty Face Powder SPF30 PA++
She likes pressed powders and products with added sunscreen, so I thought this would be great for her.
- Bourjois Yes to Volume No To Clumps Mascara
I was tempted to get her Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara but I decided she would prefer something that is easier to remove. I haven’t tried this myself but my friends have and like it.
I used this on her when I did her makeup for an event last week. She asked me more than once where it was from, so I think she must’ve liked it! ;)
- Stage Wonderkiss LipCrème in Thrill
This rose red from the Stage Burlesque Ball collection will be stunning on my mum’s skintone and fair visage.
- Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil (Snow White design)
My mum had asked about a good cleansing oil to remove her mascara. I’ve had great success with this and thought the whimsical design would look sweet in her bathroom.
For my mother-in-law, I packed a few beauty goodies in the exquisite Cath Kidston beauty bag that came with the brand’s e-mook earlier this year.
In it are:
This red isn’t subtle like the Perfect Rouges from the Shiseido Spring 2010 range but I know its gorgeous striking shade will brighten her complexion in an instant. The name is a nice allusion to her Chinese zodiac sign too! ;)
She has a few age spots and hopefully will benefit from this easy-to-use Vitamin C stick.
- Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist + sample sachets of the brand’s Herbal Recovery Eye Cream and Rose Hand Cream
She likes the scent of sweet roses, so this fabulous facial mist will be perfect for her. Its price (S$60) is unusually high for such a product but its refreshing nature and the purity of the scent are worth that amount. A voucher from the recent Tangs recycling program, together with my Tangs Citibank credit card rebate, helped to offset the cost too. ;)
- A Cath Kidston tissue pouch and mirror
These two items come with the e-mook and have the same pretty print as the zippered pouch.
