When I saw this photo of Tori Amos on the Smashbox website, the first thing I thought of was ‘ethereal beauty’…and then I saw the title! ;) An incredibly talented musician, Tori Amos infuses her songs with passion and poignancy not often found in today’s crop of fast hits and lolli-pop songs.
Inspired by her seasonal/Christmas album Midwinter Graces, this limited edition Pink & Glitter beauty kit comprises the following Smashbox items:
- Lip Enhancing Gloss in Scoop
- Baked Blush/Soft Lights Duo in On the Town
- Eye Shadow in Golden Orchid
All three items come in a pewter faux leather-suede multi-compartment bag. The colours look wearable and I can imagine them creating that ethereal Tori look. A beauty muse for the legendary Kevyn Aucoin, I’m not surprised she’s linked herself to a makeup brand.
What’s interesting is that a free Tori music download goes with this purchase: A promo code will be included with every order of this set and by entering it on the website, you will receive a copy of Tori’s song, Pink and Glitter, a languid piece that is lifted by her dulcet tones. (I think she looks cadaverish on the album cover; I much prefer the Polaroid photo of her!)
