Review | Beauté de Kosé Eye Fantasist in WT050 Crystal Cream

Beauté de Kosé Eye Fantasist in WT050 Crystal Cream (7 g / S$38) is a stash staple for me. Aptly named, this cream eyeshadow that comes in an iridescent teardrop bottle goes on a shimmery pure white. However, look closely and you’ll espy a multitude of colours glinting merrily back at you, as in a crystal prism. As with most Japanese glitter, the micro-glitter in Crystal Cream is ultra fine and never gritty. There is a beautiful marriage of shimmer and glitter in the shadow: it possesses both the delicacy of shimmer and the delightful twinkle of glitter.

Intense and frosty when colour is laid down,
beautifully sparkly when blended out

To add to the pleasure of the stunning sparkles, this product lasts. Although it does leave a slight residue when I deliberately swipe my finger over it, it generally stays on and continues to sparkle stoically. As such, I love to use this on its own; it’s my answer to an up-and-go look.

Its performance – both in the endurance and appearance categories – speaks volumes of its stellar formula. If you’ve always wanted to find out what the fuss was about sparkly Japanese makeup wonders, you’d do well to start with Eye Fantasist.
