As much as I love blacks, whites and muted shades, bright colours attract me and no combination does it better than the classic rainbow.
* Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. In school I was taught the phrase ‘Richard Of York Gained Battle In Vain’ as a handy reminder of the colour order. I later learnt of an amusing alternative: ‘Run Off You Girls, Boys In View!’ :D
My son knows this and created a Lego rainbow just for me! It sits happily on my inelaborate makeup counter, bringing cheer and a shot of vibrancy.
A pretty spectrum of seven colours*, this set of Lego bricks often makes me smile – not only does it beautify my counter, it also reminds me of the joy my son put into building it. :)
