When I saw this scan of Gu Hye Sun’s drawing on Dramabeans, I was pretty thrown. Amidst the flora and abstract pieces, this one jumped out at me for its randomness.
I’m not sure about the artistic aspirations of the Boys Before Flowers alumna but this picture of two eyelash curlers in her new novel, Tango, is well drawn and suited for a beauty ad. Perhaps like her co-stars Lee Min Ho and Kim Hyun Joong, she will endorse a cosmetics brand (if she hasn’t already), using her sketches.

I think she is pretty and acts well in dramas that require her to emote realistically. However, her artistic work has a sketchbook/doodle art vibe (especially the abstract pieces) which I’m not particularly fond of.
The eyelash curlers, on the other hand, struck me somewhat because of their form and composition…and not just because they’re makeup tools! :D
