Shiseido Integrate Eyebrow Pencil in GY941

I was so happy when a friend recently offered to custom purchase products from Japan for me – I immediately thought of my brow staple, Shiseido Integrate Eyebrow Pencil in GY941, and requested two pieces (I wonder if I should’ve asked for three or more!).

When Iris was still living in Japan, she’d CPed this pencil for me twice – I liked the first so much that I asked for another. I still have one but carelessly broke the other while it was in my makeup pouch…which meant that I’ve been using the remaining one sparingly. Imagine my joy, then, when I was offered this custom purchase. :)

I know, you must be wondering why I asked for this, of all the luscious lovelies in the makeup haven that Japan is. Simply put, it works. I absolutely love the fine nib, the firm yet pliable spooly brush and the shade. I am thrilled to have back-ups of this now.

If you’d like to try it, it can be purchased from Adambeauty. However, it’s currently sold out  – told you it’s good! ;)

Hi Mag. Is it better for Asians to use grey coloured eyebrow pencils? Normally I go for brown or dark brown and it can be a bit harsh looking so I have to blend and rub it over with a cotton wool pad.

      Hi Milktea,

It comes off as a grey brown, not a true grey. ;) I like to mix my brow products, actually. Today, for instance, I used this pencil and went over with the dark brown from an Integrate brow palette. To tone down your brow pencil mark, try going over with some loose powder – this gives brows a natural look. :) HTH!

Hi Mag!! I so love that product!! Just this year, I was traveling to Japan and unfortunately lost my eyebrow pencil along the way. Of course, I felt totally naked without my touched up to perfection eyebrows, so saw this small store in the corner. I went in hoping to find a replacement for the MIA Eyebrow Pencil. And to my surprise I did!!! And it’s exactly the same one on the photo you’ve provided!! And it is a true match to having a natural look. The problem is…. The eyebrow pencil itself went missing!! It probably fell out from the holder and I can’t find it anywhere! Waaah :( So, my question is, is there anywhere else I can find the exact product here in the U.S.??? Some kind of website I can order from? Please help!! :)

          Aww Marmar671,

Isn’t this the best? I love it! :)

Sorry to hear about your brow pencil mishaps. Good news, Adambeauty still carries this. It’s an online retailer that will ship to the US. :)

where to buy this eye brown pencil? where is adambeauty? does it sell other Integrate products too?

Is it hard? I find eyebrow pencils from Japan are usually hard, it’s difficult to draw with them. Hence I prefer their sponge tip powder than their e/b pencils.

      Hi Chris,

It’s not as hard as Shu Uemura Hard Pencils but it’s not very soft either. You could also try the Sana pencil/brow tint – that pencil is somewhat soft but gives definition too. :)

Is this brow pencil waterproof or sweat proof/resistant?

Thanks for getting back to me! :)
Happy Halloween! (It’s still Oct 31 where I am. The kids this year are adorable.)

    It’s me again :D
My aunt is in HK right now and I’m going to ask her to pick this up for me. I do have another question — is this a waxy pencil (e.g. Etude House Drawing Artist pencil) or is it “drier”? I ordered an Etude House refill off eBay to give it a go, but I don’t like how waxy it is. I’ve had a lot of luck with the Lioele automatic eyebrow pencil (the perfect amount of wax to dryness) but it’s very hard to find where I am. The seller I purchased from no longer has it in stock.

Also, is the Integrate pencil able to stay put in sparse areas? I’ve heard the famous Shu Uemura brow pencil only adheres to brow hairs and not to skin. Is the Shiseido like this?

Thanks so much for your help!

      Hello BooBooNinja!

It’s somewhat but draws easily. Yes, it definitely stays put. It’s unlike the Shu Hard Pencil which doesn’t draw well on dry skin; it lays down colour much more easily. I do love the Shu lots too!

  • BooBooNinja says:

ps Are you still reaching for the Shiseido Integrate eyebrow pencil? Or have you found something better since 2010? :)

    • makeupmag says:

      Hi BooBooNinja,

Yes, still loving it and I have it in my everyday makeup pouch for touch-ups (seldom need it for this purpose; I only use it outside when I don’t have the time to draw my brows before leaving my home!). I think I still have one back-up that I’m hoarding. Gave my mum one too!

As mentioned, I love the Shu brow pencil a lot too and reach for it often, as well.
